D3.1 – Initial evaluation of regulations and policies impact on operational improvements

D3.1 provides an initial overview of regulations and policies (RPs) that may contribute to the climate change mitigation strategies supporting the implementation of operational improvements (OIs) derived from WP1. This qualitative assessment focuses on current EU regulations and ICAO policies. These RPs were selected according to the following approach. Initially, storylines were created, which describe a possible process through which an OI can be implemented, and also where foreseen challenges are identified.
